Runwild Media is seeking a driven and dynamic individual to join us as a Sales and Marketing Executive to oversee the growth of long term client relationships and partnerships as well as bringing in new business and be responsible for identifying opportunities with both new and existing clients through effective marketing activities.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong sales, marketing and business acumen and will be a highly motivated and organised individual as well as being personable, commercially minded and an excellent communicator.

Required Experience:
  • A minimum of at least 2 years experience working within a Sales & Marketing environment
  • Background in managing high level corporate clients
  • Educated to A-level standard

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentation, interpersonal skills and negotiation
  • A proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Motivation to keep abreast of trends in the marketplace, and to initiate change
  • Strong commercial awareness and a keen interest in the product or service being marketed
  • Being adept and effective at networking and building relationships with existing and new clients

Overall Job Purpose:

To work closely with the editorial team for your title(s) – Editor, Editorial Assistant and/or editorial intern) – in the production of the portfolio of publications produced by Runwild Media publishing house; currently Canary Wharf, The City, Vantage, The Kensington & Chelsea Magazine, The Mayfair Magazine, the Residents’ Journals and any future contract publications.

This is an important organisational role which requires excellent writing, self-motivation and communication skills to fulfil the role of what is an important cog within the department. Experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To manage your own workload and adhere to your own deadlines, as agreed with the Editor
  • To assist the Editor in managing the workflow and development of the Editorial Assistant(s) and/or Editorial Intern
  • To edit and review the work of contributors on occasion, ensuring that it is in line with company policies and ethics and to manage the accurate proofing of articles before design
  • To write key features and interviews, depending on skills and requirements (which will vary on a monthly basis)
  • To liaise with the sales team over ‘saleable’ features and creative ways to entice advertisers
  • To attend some client meetings and events in place of the Editor
  • To be commercially-minded
  • To work with the Editor in the future planning of editorial content and design evolution
  • To develop and manage key public relations contacts
  • To manage/support the company processes
  • To manage some projects from start to finish, with guidance from the Editor
  • To communicate effectively with internal staff, particularly within the production, sales, accounts and editorial departments
  • To adhere to departmental working procedures for processing incoming emails, client correspondence and advertising copy
  • To assist in the completion of departmental administrative and reporting tasks
  • To compile and maintain complete and accurate records regarding clients, tasks and departmental jobs

Overall Job Purpose:

Runwild Media Group is looking for a bright, capable and enthusiastic intern to assist the editorial team for a three-month period on several of our magazines.

 

Our interns are self-motivated individuals with plenty of ideas and a passion for the luxury industry, from travel and beauty to art, interior design, fashion and motoring. Knowledge of the local areas we cover is essential and previous magazine experience would be preferable. Applicants should be University educated. There will be the opportunity to contribute to creative lifestyle features for the magazines and to take ownership of certain pages. You will have the chance to build a good portfolio during your time here, working closely with the Editor and Deputy Editor of the magazines.
